How Our Calculators Work
Mortgage Calculator
Our mortgage calculator uses the standard amortization formula to estimate your monthly payment based on the home price, down payment, interest rate, and loan term. Simply enter your numbers to see your estimated monthly payment, total interest, and total amount paid over the life of the loan. Remember that your actual payment may also include property taxes, homeowner's insurance, and PMI if your down payment is less than 20%.
Loan Repayment Calculator
Whether it's an auto loan, personal loan, or student loan, the repayment calculator shows you exactly what your monthly payments will be and how much interest you'll pay. Try different terms to see how a shorter loan saves you money on interest even though the monthly payment is higher.
Compound Interest Calculator
See the power of compound interest in action. Enter your initial investment, monthly contributions, expected return rate, and time horizon to see how your money grows. This calculator accounts for different compounding frequencies and clearly shows how much of your final balance comes from contributions versus earned interest.

Frequently Asked Questions
How accurate are these calculators?
Our calculators use the same standard financial formulas used by banks and financial institutions. The take-home pay calculator uses actual 2024 federal and state tax brackets. However, these are estimates โ your actual results may vary based on specific deductions, credits, local taxes, and individual circumstances.
Which states have no income tax?
Nine US states have no state income tax: Alaska, Florida, Nevada, New Hampshire, South Dakota, Tennessee, Texas, Washington, and Wyoming. Residents of these states keep more of their paycheck since they only pay federal income tax and FICA taxes.
How much should my mortgage be relative to my income?
A common guideline is that your total housing payment (including taxes and insurance) should not exceed 28% of your gross monthly income. Your total debt payments should stay below 36%.
Is my data safe?
